Evangelist Luke, nimbed, holding pen with raised left hand, sharpening with knife in raised right hand, is seated on chair, feet on footstool, before lectern possibly supported by foliate stand. Blank parchment or book is on the lectern. At upper right, head of Evangelist symbol (ox), nimbed, emerges from cloud.
All enclosed in frame decorated with stylized foliate ornament.
