Miniature:
Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, with her left hand touches right arm of Elizabeth, nimbed and wearing wimpled veil, placing her right hand on abdomen of Virgin Mary. Visible between them is man, wearing hat, looking toward Elizabeth, probably Zacharias. Behind Virgin Mary are three angels; woman, wearing turban type of headdress stands behind Elizabeth.
Scene in landscape with trees, and city wall on hill.
Margin, left:
Theophilus the Penitent: Scene,adoring Virgin Mary -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and crowned, holds on her right arm, Christ Child, nimbed, holding flower in extended left hand. Virgin Mary extends flower in left hand toward Theophilus kneeling before her, with joined hands.
Scene in room with decorated wall and tile floor.
Margin, lower:
Theophilus the Penitent: Scene, Compact with Satan -- Devil, as winged beast with bird feet, holds scepter with right hand, and with left hand, scroll with pseudo-inscription, and seal. Theophilus kneels before devil, with joined hands, looking up toward Virgin Mary and Christ Child amid rays in arc of Heaven.
