Sebastian of Rome: Scene, Torture -- Sebastian, nimbed, wearing short loincloth, in front of tree, his arms behind tree, his body pierced wit four arrows, stands before two men, wearing hats, one with sheathed sword at waist, aiming arrows at Sebastian. Scene in landscape with trees, river and buildings on hill in background.
Miniature within arched frame supported by columns colonnettes and architectural elements.
Initial O, grisaille, decorated with foliate ornament and inhabited by monkey.
Margins decorated with floreate and foliate ornament, including large branches, viola, strawberry, and rose, and inhabited by snail, birds, fantastic animal with face on abdomen and on end of tail, and dog with collar.
