Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, wearing short loin cloth and crown of thorns, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to tau cross with titulus inscribed INRI. To left is Evangelist John, nimbed, supporting swooning Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled. Hooded figure stands behind John. To right stands soldier, possibly Longinus, holding shield. Other soldiers, wearing armor, some with spears or halberds, stand further right. Sun and Moon in sky. Scene in landscape with distant hills, trees, and building.
Margins with floreate and scroll ornament, inhabited in right margin by two fantastic animals fighting; and in lower margin by hybrid (?) animal, wearing hat and shirt, aiming bow and arrow.
