Christ: bearing Cross -- Christ, rayed cross as nimbus, crowned with thorns, blood issuing from forehead, wearing purple robe, bears cross. He is lead by man holding rope tied around His waist. Simon of Cyrene carries lower end of cross. Evangelist John, nimbed, only head visible, and Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, hands joined, follow. Group of soldiers carrying spears marches alongside central figures.
In background is landscape with building.
