New Testament:
Christ: Flagellation -- One of three torturers raises scourge with both hands, another, wearing knotted sash around head, strikes with chain, Christ, nimbed, wearing short loincloth , arms behind Him, back to column. The third torturer stands behind Christ, raising right hand over his right shoulder. Pilate stands at right, wearing hat, raising right hand, holding scepter with left hand. Scene in room with windows, through one of which head of man is visible. Room is inscribed SUPRA DORSUM MEUM FABRICAUERUNT PECCATORES PS(ALMUS) 129 (Psalm 129:03, Vulg., 128:03)

Old Testament:
1) Cain: killing Abel -- Cain, wearing knife at waist, raises, with both hands, mattock. He is standing behind Abel, crouching on ground.

2) Maccabees Seven: Martyrdom -- At left torturer raises withes with both hands. Body is on ground at his feet. Before him stand six men, one only partially visible, all wearing short drawers, five with arms raised overhead, with hands bound. The sixth, with hands behind him looks at the torturer. At right woman (?) head draped, indicating with right hand, stands next to Antiochus (?) wearing hat, arms crossed on breast.
