Christopher of Lycia: carrying Christ Child -- Christopher, rays as nimbus, holds long pole in water with both hands. Christ Child, rays as cross nimbus, raising right hand in blessing, possibly grasping with left hand hair of Christopher, sits on his shoulders. Christopher stands in water surrounded by rocky outcrops, against background of gold scroll work.
Blue heads above arch inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux inhabited by hybrid man holding lantern with right hand; fantastic animal; seated man wearing hood. Gold geometric ornament at each corner of miniature.
