1) Virgin Mary and Christ Child -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, wears crown and sits on bench. With her left hand, she holds on her lap Christ Child, cross-nimbed, in white garment, seated, raising His right hand. Both are flanked by two nimbed angels swinging censers and standing on clouds. Figures against gold background, within initial D decorated with geometric ornament and formed partly by dragon with foliate tail.
Outside the initial at the Virgin's feet, female donor, wearing berbette, lies with joined hands extended.
2) Line endings - Hybrid bird and abstract penwork.
