Miniature, column, left: Apostle Philip, with right hand holding book and with left hand holding processional cross (?) standing beside Apostle James Minor, with right hand holding pedum and with left hand gathering garment, both nimbed; against patterned background in room with tiled floor. Miniature at beginning of Chapter and First Lesson in Matins for Feast of Apostles Philip and James Minor (05.01). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by half figures of two prophets, wearing hats, emerging from clouds, holding scrolls inscribed TANTO T(EM)P(O)RE and UERBA SANCTI EUANG(ELISTE) (right).
