Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, rays as cross nimbus, with crown of thorns, bleeding from wounds, wearing short loincloth, is affixed with three nails to tau-cross with titulus INRI. He is flanked by two crosses, to which two men, bleeding from wounds, wearing short loincloths, are affixed with three nails. Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with wimple, holding cloth to face with left hand, and Evangelist John, nimbed, clasping hands, stand below. Buildings are in background, one with onion dome. Skull is at base of cross.
Margins decorated with border of flowers and plants including rose, strawberry, daisy, and viola and inhabited by butterfly and fly.
