Nicholas of Myra: Scene, Three Youths rescued from Barrel -- Nicholas of Myra, nimbed, wearing bishop's miter with infulae, vestments and gloves, raising right hand in blessing and holding crozier in left hand, stands before barrel in which are three youths, tonsured, nude, one stepping out of barrel with left foot, all with joined hands. Scene in room with wooden ceiling, entablature with pseudo-inscription, and colonnade at window; city on hilltop in background.
Miniature below polylobe arch supported by columns and architectural elements.
Margins decorated with floreate and foliate ornament, including large branches, strawberry and rose, and inhabited by birds and fantastic animal.
