Medallion 1:
1) Christ: Flight into Egypt, Fall of Idols -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, seated on ass, offers breast to Christ Child, crossed nimbus, in swaddling clothes, in the Virgin's arms. Joseph the Carpenter, carrying sack with staff over left shoulder, leads ass by reins. Idol falls from pedestal behind the ass.
Medallion 2:
2) Innocents: Massacre -- Two soldiers, each in chain mail and tunic, each running an infant through with sword in right hand. Two heads and two feet on ground.
Scenes against gold backgrounds inside medallions set on diapered grounds within decorated frame.
