The foremost horseman, possibly Aristonicus of Pergamos, wearing hat and sword at waist, is accompanied by seven men, at least three are mounted on bridled and saddled horses, all wear brimmed hats, some pointed, one wearing soft hat, four have lances, one bannered. Scene in hilly landscape with trees. Figures painted in grisaille. Margins decorated with floreate and foliate border above and below left column, miniature within gold frame.
