Anthony Abbot the Great: Scene, Death of Monk in Desert and sending for Water -- Beneath rayed and starry arc of heaven, half-figures of two flying nimbed angels, support nimbed and nude figure, with joined hands raised, representing soul of monk, issuing from his mouth, he is wearing hooded monk’s habit, lying supine on ground. Beside him, tonsured monk, wearing monk’s habit, seated against tree.
At right, Anthony Abbot the Great, nimbed, tonsured, wearing monk’s habit, with left hand on tau-staff and with right hand raised toward two tonsured monks, wearing monk’s habits, both holding jug.
