Beginning of Jeremiah.
Isaiah: Scene, Martyrdom -- Half-figure of Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, emerges from cloudy arc of heaven and raises right forefinger toward king, wearing crown, raising right hand. Behind him are two men. Below Christ-Logos is man, wearing hat and extending right forefinger and left hand. He is beside Isaiah, kneeling with joined hands raised, being sawn by two executioners. Scene with decorated intial U.
In left margin is hybrid dog, winged, bird, man playing trumpet and raising right forefinger, hand making gesture of blessing, and veiled woman, with hands raised.
In lower margin is soldier, wearing armor, holding sling with stone in right hand and sheild in left hand. In right portion of lower margin are two soldiers, wearing armor, one with sword and shield, and other with bow. They face two soldiers, wearing armor, one with cross bow and one with sword and shield. Building is between them.
