De Mulieribus Claris: Scene, Wives of Cimbrians hanged -- In stockade constructed of carts, three hang in nooses from cart wheels, one woman flanked by two horses. At lower left, woman raises sword in right hand over youth reclining on ground. At right, soldiers, holding lances, approach on horseback (?). In foreground, four spikes protrude from ground.
