Benedict of Montecassino: Scene, giving Rule -- Benedict, decorated nimbus, tonsured, holds inscribed book in left hand, and with his right hand holds scroll inscribed ABBAS.
He is framed by abbreviated architecture, comprising two galleried buildings, possibly churches, crenellated wall, and four (possibly turned) columns supporting triple arcade surmounted by central dome.
Beneath dome, Christ, decorated crossed nimbus, as half figure, raises right hand in blessing, and with His left hand holds scroll inscribed AV(SC)ULTA O FILIA [...].
In right foreground, outside architecture, abbot, tonsured, kneels, possibly as donor. He holds crozier between his arms raised toward Benedict.
