David, crowned, kneeling on right knee, right hand pointing to mouth, left hand holding lily, looks up to head of Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, emerging from arc of heaven (cloud).
Scene against patterned background within initial D decorated with foliate and interlace ornament.
In upper margin along foliate extension, animal, possibly yale, and lion.
In lower margin (bas-de-page), three birds and owl sit on foliate bar.
