Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, crossed nimbus, head inclined, bleeding from wounds, wearing short loincloth, is affixed with three nails to cross. He is flanked below by Virgin Mary, veiled, with clasped hands and by Evangelist John with joined hands (?). Both have rays as nimbus.
Background of gold vine scroll. Miniature and text framed on three sides by rectilinear bars of gold decorated with red and blue sections of geometric or foliate ornament. Margins decorated with a border of vine scroll.
