Within room with fireplace surmounted by statuette, two men (philosophers?) stand behind couch on which sits Boethius, supporting head with left hand. Beside him stands Personification of Philosophy, veiled, holding book in left hand and scepter in right hand.
Beyond room, within courtyard, Personification of Fortune turns wheel on which four figures ascend and descend, including king, crowned, at top of wheel, holding scepter in right hand.
