Evangelist Matthew, nimbed, sits and holds pen in right hand to his forehead. Beside him stands nimbed figure (Evangelist Symbol), holding book open toward Matthew.
Miniature executed in cama³aeu.
Margins with diagonal bands of foliate ornament. In right margin is fantastic animal, with beak and two legs; in lower margin is bird.
