Miniature divided into two compartments:
1) Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Appearing below trefoil arch, Archangel Gabriel, nimbed, holding scepter in left hand and pointing with right hand, kneels before Virgin Mary, nimbed, standing, raising right hand to breast and holding book in left hand.
2) Christ: Nativity -- Head of ox and ass appear behind Christ Child, cross-nimbed, swaddled, in manger. Below, Virgin Mary, nimbed, reclines on draped bed, head turned away from Christ. Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, is at foot of bed. He raises right hand to chest and points to Christ Child with left hand.
