Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, her head on cushion, raising right hand, semi-reclines on draped mattress, looking toward manger in which is Christ Child, crossed nimbus, swaddled. Only heads are visible of ox, next to manger, and ass, with mouth open over Christ Child. Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, resting head on right arm, sits at foot of mattress and looks toward Christ Child.
Miniature within framed barbed quatrefoil. Initial D with foliate ornament. In margins, rectilinear bars with foliate ornament.
