Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, with rays as nimbus, wearing crown of thorns and short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Flanking the cross are Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, with hands crossed on breast and holding gathered mantle in left hand; and Evangelist John, nimbed, with arms crossed and breast and holding book with two clasps. Scene in landscape with bones, hill, and stars in sky.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament inhabited by two fantastic animals.
