Evangelist Matthew, sits beneath canopy, holding pen and inkhorn and with open book with pseudo-inscription on his lap. Beside him stands youth (Evangelist Symbol ?), with arms crossed on his breast. Scene in room with distant landscape visible through opening in wall. Miniature enclosed in architectural frame with two standing figures of prophets (?). Bottom of frame inscribed CVM NATVS ESSET.
