Left column:
Angel: Fall --Christ-Logos, crossed nimbus, holding with both hands, book facing outward, is seated amid rays on rainbow, enclosed in mandorla flanked by half-figures of four angels, two nimbed, all with joined hands. Below the mandorla is scroll inscribed IN INFERNUM DEMERGERIS, above Mouth of Hell, in which are devils, and into which other devils fall.Initial I, composed of elongated head of man, wearing hat, tongue emerging from mouth, surmounted by dragon.
