Mortifiement de Vaine Plaisance: Fear of God and Contrition speaking with Soul -- Personification of Soul, as veiled woman, sits on ground and clutches to her heart to her breast with both hands. Before her stands female personification of Fear of God, with joined hands raised, with sword of Divine Justice above her; and female personification of Contrition, as veiled, bare-breasted woman, holding switches in left hand. Scene in dilapidated house.
