Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Elizabeth, nimbed, veiled, extends her arms to embrace Virgin Mary, nimbed, with hands extended. Behind the Virgin stands Joseph the Carpenter (?), nimbed, holding hat in raised right hand. Scene in landscape with trees and building with turret and crenellated wall.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame.
Margins with floreate ornament. In lower margin are two figures emerging from flowers, including fantastic animal and hybrid man, wearing hood with pointed ears.
