Left column:
David: bringing Head of Goliath to Saul -- David, holding with right hand sword inscribed DAUID, grasps, with left hand, hair on decapitated head of Goliath. Next to head is scroll inscribed SAUL PERCUSSIT MILLE ET DAUID DECEM MILIA. Standing opposite David are Saul, crowned; woman, crowned, probably wife of Saul; and nine other women, one touching head of Goliath, four (?) holding branches, eight wearing diadems, and one possibly wearing crown.
Caption, DAUID SUSCEPTUS EST CUM LAUDIBUS POST CEDEM GOLIE, is inscribed above scene.

Right column:
Heliodorus: stricken -- Heliodorus, name inscribed HELIODOR(US), reclines, with joined hands raised. He is surrounded by two soldiers, wearing helmets and armor, raising scourges with right hands and holding shields inscribed with crosses, and by soldier, wearing armor and helmet, raising scourge with right hand, holding reins with left hand, astride rearing, bridled horse.
