Two scenes within miniature:
1) John of Alexandria: distributing Alms -- Within courtyard of church adorned with statuary, John of Alexandria, nimbed, wearing bishop's vestments and miter, distributes alms to three beggars. The first beggar, holding crozier between arms, extends money bag held in both hands. Second beggar, on crutches, raises right hand and holds hat in left hand. Third beggar, with crutch, right leg with amputated left foot supported by wooden leg, raises hat held in right hand.
2) John of Alexandria: returning Woman's Confession from Tomb -- In cemetery, beyond courtyard, woman takes letter with confession from extended right hand of John of Alexandria, wearing bishop's vestments and miter, holding crozier in left hand, rising from grave partially covered by lid.
