Jean Froissart: Chroniques, Book II, Chapter 124 -- Flemish soldiers, in full armor, one holding standard with arms of Flanders, wearing decorated surcoats, attack with spears French soldiers, in full armor, one carrying oriflamme, led by Charles VI of France, crowned, wearing surcoat decorated with arms of France. Two Flemish soldiers, one possibly Philip von Artaveld, lie dead in foreground.
Text describes battle of Roosebecke, November, 1382.
