Christ: Pietà -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, sits and holds in her lap body of Christ, cross-nimbed, with eyes closed, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds. Flanking the Virgin are Evangelist John, nimbed, supporting head of Christ, and Mary Magdalen, nimbed, wearing headdress, holding ointment jar in both hands. In background is cross, with titulus with pseudo-inscription, flanked by Dysmas and Gestas, bound to tau crosses. Men and woman stand amid the three crosses. Scene in decorated initial O.
Margins with foliate ornament, inhabited by duck.
