Christ: Presentation -- Below lamp shade, Simeon, as High Priest, wearing miter, with hands joined, leans toward draped altar on which is vessel and nude Christ Child lying on pillow with two tassels and looking toward Virgin Mary, nimbed, kneeling on one knee. She grasps His left arm. Behind the altar, acolyte holds open inscribed book.
To right, Prophetess Anna, wearing kerchief, holding candle in right hand, stands beside two men, including Joseph the Carpenter.
Scene inside temple.
Frame:
Miniature within elaborate architectural frame decorated with floral ornament inhabited by putti. Two putti hold scroll inscribed with incipit of None of the Hours of the Virgin.
