Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, with crossed rays as nimbus, wearing crown of thorns and short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds in hands, feet, and side, is affixed with three nails to tau cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Flanking the cross are Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, standing with joined hands raised; Evangelist John, nimbed, with right hand extended to side of Virgin Mary; and nimbed, veiled, Holy Women; to right are helmeted soldiers, including one from whom extends inscription that reads VERE FILIVS DEI ERATVS (sic). More soldiers with spears in backgorund. In distance, Judas hangs in tree.
In vignette in lower margin:
Christ: Casting of Lots for Garments -- Five soldiers, wearing helmets and armor, cast lots with dice.
Miniatures and textblock enclosed in architectural frame. [PARTIT]I SVNT VESTIMENTA MEA SIBI ET SVP VESTEM MEAM MIS[ERUNT] (sic) inscribed on bottom frame.
