Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, rays as crossed nimbus, with crown of thorns, wearing loincloth, is affixed with three nails to tau cross with titulus IXI RE[X] IUDEORUM (?). At left, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with wimple, with joined hands, looks up at Him. She is flanked by two Holy Women, nimbed and veiled, each extending arm to Mary. At right, Evangelist John, nimbed, orant, looks up toward Christ. Mary Magdalen, nimbed and veiled, crouched at foot of the cross, embraces it with both arms. Ointment jar is on ground next to cross.
