Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, nimbed, holding scroll in left hand, with right hand indicates dove of Holy Ghost, descending toward Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, holding book in left hand. Between Mary and Gabriel is vase with lilies. Scene in decorated initial D with foliate extenders.
Border composed of bands of foliate ornament, inhabited by numerous grotesques, including hybrid animals and men.
Bands interrupted by quatrefoils enclosing geometric ornament.
