Initial D decorated with interlaced ornament and extension branching into spiralling foliate tendrils enclosing two men, one nude, with raised hands pointing to head, both dancing, and male musician holidng bagpipe, all adjoined by fantastic animal intertwined with knotted stem in upper margin.
Line ending: two fantastic animals, one swallowing the other biting the first one.
Line ending: heraldic escutcheon of Neuville-Vitasse; man wrestling with animal.
Line ending: man, armed with sword and shield (buckler) encountering fantastic animal.
Line endings: geometric and foliate ornament.
