Dominic of Bologna: Scene, Miracle of Unburnt Book -- Dominic of Bologna, decorated nimbus, tonsured, in Dominican habit, stands with hands raised before fire. He looks up toward Hand of God emerging from clouds as book falls into fire in which is second book, unburnt. Behind him are five other figures (three only partially visible), including a monk, tonsured, wearing Dominican habit, and bishop wearing miter and vestments.
On opposite side of fire, group of four heretics in pointed hats look on. The first heretic raises gloved right hand and holds other glove in left hand.
Scene enclosed in architectural setting composed of trefoil arch surmounted by building structures and two turrets.
SC DOMINICVS is written in gold letters in upper border of decorated frame.
