Evangelist, Matthew: Martyrdom and Hyrtacus of Ethiopia: Death -- Matthew, nimbed, kneels with joined hands raised. Behind stands man with sword raised in both hands. To right is castle, on fire, with flames extending from windows. In the doorway of the castle stands Hyrtacus of Ethiopia, crowned, plunging sword into his breast with left hand. Scene in medallion in left margin.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux, foliate, and vinescroll ornament.
