Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, crowned with thorns, wearing short loincloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus INRI. Christ is flanked by two thieves, both with arms bent over crossbar. At left is group of soldiers, wearing armor, and Longinus, wearing hat, piercing side of Christ with lance held with right hand, indicating his eye with right forefinger.
In foreground at left are two holy women, both nimbed and veiled, behind Evangelist John, seated on ground, supporting Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, swooning. At right are Longinus of Jerusalem (Centurion), wearing hat, raising in right hand scroll inscribed UERE FILIUS DEI ERAT ISTE, and raising left forefinger. Beside him is man, wearing hat, holding scimitar and raising left forefinger. Behind them is group of soldiers, wearing armor.
