Medallion 1:
1) Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, crossed nimbus, head bowed, in short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds in hands, side, and feet, is affixed to cross with three nails. To either side stand Virgin Mary and Evangelist John, both nimbed, both holding book in draped hand. Sun and moon in sky with clouds.
Medallion 2:
2) Christ: bearing Cross -- Christ, crossed-nimbus, wearing long robes, carries cross over left shoulder. Three women in snoods and berbettes stand behind Him, one steadying arm of the cross. Man in front of Christ carries hammer.
Scenes against gold backgrounds inside medallions set on diapered grounds within decorated frame.
