Fable: Wolf and Crane -- Wolf, opens mouth into which crane places beak, both facing each other in hilly landscape with city partly visible in background. Miniature for Aesop’s Fable of "The Wolf and the Crane." Miniature framed by circular wreath with four ribbons and medallions, each medallion decorated with pair of wings as emblem of Louise of Savoy. Text summary in French verse is on facing page, within similar frame.
