Miniature, column, left: Martin of Tours: dividing Cloak -- Martin of Tours, nimbed, wearing hat and ermine-trimmed garment, standing in saddle of bridled horse, with right hand holds sword to cloak gathered in left hand, also held by extended left hand of man. In foreground left, man sitting on ground, extending dish. All before arched portal and in landscape with city buildings in background. Miniature at beginning of Collect for Feast of Martin of Tours (11.11). Miniature, column, right: Hugh of Lincoln, nimbed, wearing miter with infulae and white bishop’s vestments (Carthusian?), with right hand holding crozier and with left hand reading from open book with pseudo-inscriptions; in room with arched ceiling and bench on which are two pillows. Miniature at beginning of Collect for Feast of Hugh of Lincoln (11.17). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by two prophets, wearing hats, emerging from clouds, holding scrolls inscribed MARTINUS AD(UISA) and HAC ME UESTE(S) (left).
