Christ: bearing Cross -- Christ, pearled crossed nimbus, wearing loin cloth, carries on His right shoulder lower stem of cross, glancing back toward man holding hammer in raised right hand and with left hand striking (?) His torso; another man with right hand grasps His left shoulder and places left hand over the cross.
Scene against gold stippled background within initial D with ornament of foliage; spandrels decorated with diapered ornament.
Margins decorated with rectilinear foliate extensions and sprigs of foliage and animal heads.
In upper margin, hybrid man armed with shield, raising club toward dragon (in left margin), forming part of foliate extension on which is dog pursuing deer.
In right margin, hooded hybrid man armed with axe.
In lower margin, offspring on back of monkey on leash pulled by nude man wearing cap, blowing trumpet, mounted on sheep (animal-training), and female dancer or juggler, wearing snood, balancing goblet on her torso.
In left margin, bird perching on sprig of foliage.
