1) Shepherds: Annunciation -- Angel, holding scroll inscribed ECCE EW(ANGELIZO) U(OBIS) G(AUDIUM) based on Luke 2:10, descends toward two shepherds, one wearing mantle of skins, holding pedum in right hand, and raising left hand, both beside flock of sheep, and goat on hind legs. Scene in initial U of monogram.
2) Christ: Nativity -- In grotto, Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, seated, looks toward right at Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, reclining on mattress, raising right hand toward Christ Child, cross-nimbed, swaddled, lying in architectural manger (crib) on column in front of ass and ox (only heads shown). Scene in initial D of monogram.
