Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, seated sideways on ass, holds in her lap swaddled infant Christ Child, with crossed nimbus. Leading the ass is Joseph the Carpenter, carrying bundle on staff over his left shoulder. Scene in landscape with trees, hills, distant cities, and sky with stars.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux, vinescroll, and floreate ornament, with foliate baguettes framing miniature and textblock.
