Magi: Adoration -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, is seated, holding nude Christ Child, nimbed, on her lap. He extends his arms to box held by both hands of eldest Magus, kneeling. Behind him stand the other two Magi, one wearing crown, indicating star above with right hand and holding covered vessel with left hand. The third Magus, black, wearing headgear, holds covered cup with right hand. Several figures stand behind them, only face of one man visible, possibly holding spears. Joseph the Carpenter stands behind Mary. Ass and ox are in background
Scene in ruined stable with holes in roof, supported by elaborate pillar.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame surmounted by two putti each astride dolphin or fantastic animal.
