Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, veiled, kneels in prayer before Christ child, nude, surrounded by rayed mandorla, lying on cushion on ground. Behind the Virgin, Joseph the Carpenter and ox and ass look on. All figures within shed.
Within landscape outside shed, shepherds with staffs and others look on. Castle stands in distance.
At bottom of miniature, two dressed putti hold up text block and scroll inscribed SI L'AVIENT AR.
