Julius Caesar: Scene, Civil Wars, Cleopatra before Caesar -- Julius Caesar, wearing gold imperial crown over brimmed hat, sits on canopied throne, holding scepter in left hand and raising right forefinger toward Cleopatra, wearing draped headdress, partly kneeling, with joined hands raised, both before three men, wearing brimmed hats, one holding open door. Scene in room with paneled walls and door. Figures painted in grisaille. Decorated with ivy-rinceaux and floreate ornament in border above and below center margin, including daisies, miniature within gold frame. Initial E of Entre decorated with foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature for Chapter 1014 of Faits de Romains.
