Zone 1:
Ruth: gleaning -- Boaz, wearing broad hat, mounted on bridled horse, holds reins in left hand and with right hand points toward foreman. With pitchfork in right hand, he points with left hand to Ruth, wearing kerchief, holding sheaf of grain.
To right, among two gleaners, one, hooded, fills sack; three men reap with sickles, and man carries sheaf; in background, Boaz, wearing broad hat, points with left hand, and foreman, wearing broad hat, holds pitchfork over shoulder. Illustration of Ruth 2:3-13.
Zone 2:
Ruth: eating with Boaz -- Ruth, wearing snood, and Boaz dip into bowl on pitcher before tree, flanked by two workmen. All, seated with cloth on knees, hold loaves. In background, four workmen hold loaves; two, wearing broad hats, hold pitchforks; one dips loaf into the pitcher; and the fourth cuts loaf with knife.
